Description:

In the heritage town of Cahir, the hotel, a georgian building constructed in the 1770's replaced Cahir Castle as the home of the Butlers of Cahir.  Recently the hotel was completely refurbished and extended.  The hotel is very much part of the life of the town, a lovely friendly atmosphere exists.  The Butlers pantry presents fresh local produce reflecting the high quality of farming and fishing in the area.  Our bar O'Briens has music midweek throughout the summer.  We serve food all day offering a wide selection of cuisine. 



Location:

The heritage town of Cahir, centrally located opens up the south of Ireland with all iits wealth and natural beauty to the tourist.  We are just 1 hour from Cork City, 11/2 hours from Shannon and Rosslare and 2 hours from Dublin.  Situated on the main national routes of the N8(Dublin/Cork) and N24(Waterford/Limerick).

The Butlers Pantry restaurant, O'Briens bar, The  Castle Suite and The Galtee's Suite function and conference facilities.  Nearby fishing, golf, treking, shooting, horseracing, Mitchelstown Caves, Swiss Cottage, Cahir Abbey, The Rock of Cashel, Show Gardens, The Galtees and Parsons Green.


Additional Information:

The town of Cahir has a population of 2,500 people and has recieved heritage town status.  This reflects the history, architecture and the beauty of the town.  Cahir Castle nestled in the centre of the town is one of the largest and best preserved castles in Ireland, situated on a rocky island in the River Suir.
