Once again the Coast Art Collective are showing a collection of art & crafts in the Parish Hall in Ballinspittle from today (10th July) to Sunday July 18th as part of Kinsale Arts Week.

The show is open from 11am to 7pm, and features work from 25 local artists and craftspeople, including a wide range of paintings, drawings and pastels, bronze work, designer blacksmithing, hand-made candles, gem jewellery, and stained glass work / fused glass jewellery.

There are daily demonstrations, and all work is available to purchase, and it's free to visit.

The Waltons Guitar Festival of Ireland is an annual event celebrating the music of the guitar in its many forms. The largest event of its kind in Ireland, the festival attracts top artists from around the world. It is a comprehensive guitar summer course based in Dublin city centre, comprising of daily tuition, concerts/gigs, seminars and exhibitions. The festival is organised by a voluntary committee deeply committed to guitar in Ireland and largely financially supported by Waltons and the Arts Council.

11am. Directions will be given nearer the time. Explore one of Ireland’s most important habitats - the ever-declining bog. This walk will be on and off track and wet underfoot, so all participants must be suitably equipped, (hiking boots and suitable rain gear). Allow 2 hours.
