Sunday Market
The Market will be open every Sunday from 10am to 4pm. Access to the public is free of charge. There is free parking and a free bus service from Clonmel. The stall holders will be made up of Local Producers, Jewellry, Collectables, Crafts, Artists, Gifts, items for your home and much more. |

Vintage Sundays at the Empire
Frock Around The Clock Vintage Fairs introduce Vintage Sundays at the Empire in 2010. A smaller version of the Holiday Inn events, but no less fabulous. Vintage Sundays at the Empire will showcase around 18 exhibitors selling vintage clothing, accessories, jewellery and décor items at the Empire Music Hall, Botanic Avenue, Belfast. Silver Jewellery Making Courses
A registered craft jeweller with the Craft Council of Ireland and award winner for design and workmanship, fully insured to run jewellery courses as set up by the Craft Council of Ireland. The small workshop, which has space for only six students with basic equipment, are all under my personal supervision .The intention is to give an insight to designing and making handmade jewellery, to a student's own personal design. |

Saturday Art Classes with Georgina Maher
Children Art Classes each Saturday in Cumann Ioseaf, Balloonagh Tralee, time 11:00 - 12:30 and 1:00 - 2:30. Boys and girls age from 5 - 10 welcome to a wonderful socal outlet for children to make new friends in a warm, bright and friendly atmosphere. The classes have been running since early 2007 and children enjoy doing paper crafts, clay, painting and make and do for all seasons. Timoleague Festival
In August each year the village hosts the timoleague festival . This ten day harvest festival sees the streets thronged with locals and tourists alike trying to catch a glimpse of the many street activities which are organised for the event. Live street music, pig racing and the fancy dress competitions are among the most popular of these activities. A large marquee is also erected on the village green during the festival with many big name acts performing during the ten day period. Using Parisisal straw and sinamay you will be guided through the process of making a brimmed hat, from blocking through to trimming. And when people as you, “Where did you get that hat?” You can answer that you made it yourself! This course includes enough sinamay and straw to make one hat with brim plus wire and petersham. Trimming is included During this 2 day course we will go through the basics of couture millinery We will discover the different techniques necessary for creating a hat, and you will have the opportunity to create a trimming suitable for the occasion. |

Rose of Tralee
The Rose of Tralee International Festival is one of Ireland's longest running festivals. It is based around the selection of the Rose of Tralee, an international event that encompasses young women of Irish descent from Ireland and around the world. Every year more than 30 International Roses come to Tralee, supported by friends and family. The Festival comprises Rose Selection, family carnival, fashion show and live concerts, in addition to welcoming visitors and delegates from regions worldwide represented by each Rose. During this time the town's streets are transformed into a feast of parades, music, circus, funfair, markets and live performance. |

for National Heritage Week
11am. Information Office, Upper Lake, Glendalough. Learn how to identify trees and discover their history, folklore, ecology and uses. Participants should wear suitable footwear for venturing off track. Aimed at adults but also suitable for secondary aged children with an interest in natural history. Not suitable for buggies. Girley Harvest Festival
The festival was established to focus on exhibition and working of agricultural machines, old and new. It is an action packed show and events include combining, threshing, steam, reaping and binding, bailing, ploughing and many more. Warriors Festival
The committee has its origins back in 1985, when a group of local businessmen got together to discuss ways of boosting tourism in the Strandhill area. The idea for a mid-summers festival was mooted and decided upon. But they needed one major event that had to be the climax of this festival and this was to be, The Warriors Run. |
